am loving your photos - could I ask how you shot the second one (and what lense you have?) but it's ok if you don't want to share your secret -they are beautiful! have a great memorial weekend!
thanks cecilia! all of the flowers are shot with my canon rebel xti, and a 100mm canon lens with a macro. I set the camera to the largest aperture (2.8) to get a shallow depth of field. and I pick a fairly high ISO to ensure short enough shutter speed.
thank you so much for telling me - you have a far, far, FAR better camera - and lense - than I have:). And the knowledge too - are you selftaught, or "schooled"?
I am completely self taught. and there is a lot of trial and error involved too. (emphasis on error.) truth is though that photography is all about the relationship between the size of the aperture (the opening that lets in the light) and time. large aperture=shallow depth of field= instantly more interesting looking photos!
