sorry to be cryptic but I don't want to give away the ending of a really good story
So, I finished reading my latest favorite book, and turned on the TV. I caught the final 30 minutes or so of Once, the somewhat predictable movie about an Irish street musician.
The song When Your Mind's Made Up, and the last story in Unaccustomed Earth say the same thing, at least to me: don't be proud, don't be stubborn. It will only hurt. Or worse.

I loved 'Once'. A friend lent me the DVD saying I have to watch it because it's about a street performer (and I am one, too). The scene where the busker runs after a guy who stole money from his bag rang very true - I had that happen to me, too, and it ended the same way as in the movie. From there on the movie kept growing on me as it went on.
All the best,
Saw Lady

Hi Saw Lady! I love your blog! I'll definitely be back reading!
I liked Once too, esp the music. The story was a little heavy handed for me at times. (Like when the recording guy is bored at first and then half way through their first song he perks up and leans forward because now he loves them.)
