I sat through a meeting yesterday. I am not good at meetings and I do not like them. But it was an important meeting and I haven't been able to attend the previous ones in the series so I went.
It made me frustrated. I probably spoke too much in front of people I do not know. This makes me more frustrated.

It was regarding programming in response to that incident of racism a while back. A group has been working for a few weeks, but I haven't been able to attend any meetings because of my teaching schedule. Until yesterday. So partially it was just that odd feeling of being new to a group that already has its ways figured out. But I also felt my impressions were different from theirs, and it was weird. I got so surprised that I just contradicted people a couple of times. Blurting it out like a kid!
All I can say is You go girl! It is a subject close to your heart and if you contradicted people it was probably the right thing to do.
Thanks Fia... I think there were some aspects of politicking I was oblivious to, and that;s what gave me the creepy feeling.
